The Brightness follows Pella Affenlight and her friend Irma through the chaotic, unpredictable lives of their twenties. At 27, Pella seems settled - engaged and helping with a wedding on Block Island - but a weekend upheaval sends her spiraling to New York City, where love, ambition, and shifting identities force her to confront who she is and who she might become.
