This is the story of an ordinary young boy, Ib Katznelson, who gets swept up in the extraordinary tides of fascism, war and propaganda. Generations later, his daughter-in-law - filmmaker Sarah Gavron - collaborates with artist-poet Sophie Herxheimer to invent a startlingly original new visual language with which to tell his story. It is a tribute to those for whom the imagination was their only escape: a to stay human.
