Der Financial Times and McKinsey & Company Business Book of the Year Award 2018 geht an den Journalisten John Carreyrou für Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies in a Silicon Valley Startup.
Carreyrou war der erste Journalist, der 2015 kritisch über das Unternehmen Theranos berichtet hat. Theranos wurde 2003 gegründet und konnte mit angeblich revolutionären Methoden für Blut-Tests viele Investoren gewinnen.
Der Financial Times and McKinsey & Company Business Book of the Year Award wird seit 2005 vergeben und prämiert "the most compelling and enjoyable insight into modern business issues".
