    • Burn is not an accident, but a catastrophe that may happen in anyone's life. Minor burns in most cases have a simple and short-term treatment. However, burns with significant severity and extent require difficult and lengthy treatments, and such patients need several surgeries over many years to be healed, such that according to burn surgeons "burnt patients and their surgeons age together". Because of the significantly high frequency of such cases, treatment of burnt patients in developing countries consumes a substantial percentage of health budget in these countries. Advanced countries have been able to take large strides to prevent the occurrence of accidents leading to burns through ongoing and precise planning, such that according to statistics, burn cases in Iran with a population of about 80 million people equal that of the whole Europe, which indicates stringent planning for prevention of burns in Europe. In dealing with the huge problem of burns, treatment of victims is not the most important issue; the most important issue is planning for prevention of accidents leading to burns across the society. The present book is the result of a six-year study conducted on patients
