According to New World Wealth approximately 82,000 high-net-worth families, defined as those who have assets (including real-estate) over $1,000,000 USD, left their home countries last year. Compared to 2015-2016 this is a 28% increase year over year, according to the Global Health Review: Worldwide Wealth and Wealth Migration Trends, once again published by New World Wealth, a global market research group, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. The wealth intelligence organization specializes in ratings, surveys, country reports and wealth statistics. The movement of millionaire migrants is a key indicator of how wealthy residents feel about the current political and economic climate of the countries that have fallen in and out of favour.
