Looking back on a long tradition, the "VOB" is the standard reference work for the award of construction contracts in Germany in both the public and the private domain. The new edition of VOB/A implements the changes in the EU Directives on the coordination of procedures for the award of public works contracts, public supplycontracts and public service contracts and on the coordination of procedures for the award of public works contracts in the water, energy, transport and telecommunication sectors, as well as the changes brought about by the law on the acceleration of public-private partnerships. VOB/B (General conditions of contract relating to execution) as well as DIN 18299 and numerous other building and civil engineering standards in Part C (General specifications) have also been revised.
