Dieses Fachbuch beschreibt die erkenntnis- und wissenschaftstheoretischen Fundamente der Zukunftsforschung, einer US-amerikanischen, transdisziplinär verfahrenden Querschnittsdisziplin. Der Fokus liegt dabei auf ökonomischen Anwendungsfeldern (Unternehmensentwicklung, Innovationsmanagement). Insbesondere werden Unterschiede zum europäischen Wissenschaftsbetrieb und dessen Fachverständnis (wissenschaftliche Gütekriterien, Methodenverständnis, Wahrheitsbegriff) geklärt.
