Today, parent-and-child courses form part of the programme of almost every music school. This new textbook in the 'Music and Dance for Children' series provides practical, well-tried, yet modern material for the work with children and parents which combines child-oriented education with high specialist standards. The book is aimed at children aged between 18 months and four years, but can also be used for the work with mixed-age groups, providing sufficient material for two years. The concept presents 19 well-elaborated teaching models which invite parents and children in manifold ways to sing, speak, move and dance. Added to that, the concept includes various playing projects and numerous complementary topics. Like the early education materials, this work, too, has been designed on an 'open concept', meaning that its topics can be used flexibly. The bears Bim and Bam accompany parents and children during the music lessons. Lovely illustrations deepen the topics dealt with in the lessons, leaving room for personal creativity and activities. Over the course of the lessons, 'Bim und Bam fangen an' thus becomes an individually designed memory book for the whole family.
